Changing Battery

Question

Battery meter indicates battery is almost exhausted-what should I do?

Answer

EasyPark recommends that you following these instructions closely when changing your EasyPark meter battery:

1. Obtain a replacement battery (CR2032 Lithium button battery). These batteries can be purchased from one of our three Authorized Service Distributor locations (see our website: "Where to Purchase and Reload EP Meters") or other retail outlets.

It is important to ensure the correct battery is used for replacement in order to avoid damage to your EasyPark meter. Key battery specifications include:

A. Nominal voltage : 3.0 volts
B. Nominal capacity : > 210mAh
C. Standard weight : 3.2 g
D. Service Life: 2+ years (under storage conditions; 60±2℃)

In addition, always check the referenced manufacturing date to ensure the battery's useful life will be as expected.

2. Press "Off" to ensure your EasyPark meter in not in parking mode.

3. Remove plastic hanger and unscrew the battery cover (using a coin or similar object) on the back of the EasyPark unit.

During this process please make sure not to place an unnecessary pressure on the casing and also note the correct positioning of the existing battery.

4. Carefully remove the old battery.

5. Carefully place the new battery in exactly the same position as the old battery was. Note: not doing so can result in damage to the EasyPark unit.

6. Once the battery is in place, replace the battery cover.

7. Note: once the battery is removed, your EasyPark meter will need its internal clock re-synchronized and all of its software update in order to work effectively.

To do this go to the nearest EasyPark distributor location and have your card "read". Reading your card is simply attempting and aborting a reload transaction at the point of entering the amount to load to your card.

If your card doesn't not function after you follow these steps, please call our office support number for resolution (542-7000).
